Jewelry Care Guide

Last Updated: January 07, 2026

At Beldad Jewelry, we are dedicated to the lasting quality of our 18k gold collections. To ensure your pieces retain their brilliance for a lifetime, our team recommends the following care guidelines.

1. Daily Wear & Maintenance

  • Avoid Chemicals: Remove your jewelry before applying perfumes, hairsprays, or lotions, as these can dull the natural luster of 18k gold.

  • Remove Before Activity: To protect the fine details of the casting, we suggest removing jewelry before swimming, exercising, or any heavy household tasks.

  • The "Last On, First Off" Rule: Your jewelry should be the last thing you put on in the morning and the first thing you take off at night to avoid snagging on clothing.

2. Cleaning Your 18k Gold

  • Gentle Cleaning: Soak your pieces in warm water with a drop of mild, fragrance-free dish soap for 5–10 minutes.

  • Soft Brush: Use a very soft-bristled brush to gently remove any oils or dust from the settings.

  • Drying: Thoroughly dry your jewelry with a lint-free, non-abrasive cloth before storing it away.

3. Proper Storage

  • Individual Protection: Store each piece in its original Beldad box to prevent it from scratching against other jewelry.

  • Cool and Dry: Keep your collection in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to maintain the gold's finish.

4. Professional Inspection

  • Periodic Checks: We recommend having your jewelry professionally inspected by a specialist once a year to ensure all settings remain secure.

  • Expert Care: For professional cleaning or restoration, please contact us for expert guidance.

Each Beldad Jewelry piece is produced in Yamanashi, the center of Japan’s jewelry excellence. Our finishing standards are designed to provide you with a piece that stands the test of time.
